Human activity is transforming a jewel into something that risks losing its resilience due to the excessive threats and pressures inflicted on the Mediterranean Sea, both directly and indirectly, by humankind. Franco Andaloro, Research Director and Head of the Sicilian Department of the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station, presents us with a dramatic picture whose outcome depends entirely on each of our actions.

This video is an excerpt from the lecture Mare Mediterraneo sotto assedio (“The Mediterranean Sea under siege”) by Franco Andaloro.
