Case study: monitoring sea turtles nests
Gianluca Cirelli, marine biologist and coordinator of the WWF Centre in Policoro, presents a practical case of monitoring sea turtle nests of the species Caretta caretta.
Through the story of field activities—from identifying tracks on the beach to monitoring during hatching—we will discover how the coordinated work of biologists and volunteers is helping protect a vulnerable Mediterranean species, turning coastlines into sites of active conservation.
